It appears the 3D light is more object based than scene. It is most noticeable with "Extruded Side Color" as the shading option. Along with that, if this transparent GIF (J sound) is viewed on a dark background, you can catch some white shimmering from the absence of what use to be the background.

Sorry, I had to say "J sound" because it drives me nuts when people pronounce GIF like gift.

A jiff is a short period of time. A gif is not confused with a jiff while speaking.

Jiff is cleaning fluid, giff cannot be confused with anything.
