Timeline doesn't play - two layers are green (in Sequencer).

Hi guys,
I've another problem. The timeline won't play and two layers are green in the sequencer. I assume that something is wrong with those layers ... but I've no idea what it could be. Maybe I have to delete those layers and create them again.
Any ideas?

Just wondering but what do you have keyframed in the project?
I'll assume you keyframed the Switch layer and expect to see the eyes open and close. If so, you need to not have the Switch layer's content selected as you have in the video. When you have the Switch layer's content selected, Moho will sit on that layer until you deselect it. You can select the Switch layer itself or pretty much anything else and it should play back properly.
Hope this helps. If that's not it, I need to know more about what you expect to see and how you set it up.
As for the green color, that's a head scratcher for me too. I'll need to crack open Moho and take a look.

Hmm...I took a look at Sequencer in my Moho and I still don't know what can turn a layer green like that.
In my Moho, the selected layer takes on a teal color (because I'm using the default theme colors. This color is probably different on your computer.) I notice that when I select either one of the Switch layer's layers, the selected layer becomes that teal color. When these layers are not selected then only the active frame range for each layer is highlighted in teal. This is normal behavior.
But I don't think that's what's happening in your project. Can't be sure without knowing more about what's going on in the project.

Active switch layers are highlighted in the sequencer, but yours seems to show the inactive (grayed) layer highlighted. This would make me wonder whether frame zero for that switch has a valid keyframe. Sometimes you can get Moho to make blank switch keyframes, depending on how you create/duplicate layers. If you right-click the switch on frame zero and there is no checkmark on a layer name, that might be the culprit.
The only way I can duplicate the timeline not playing is to ctrl+right-click frame one, but yours doesn't show the red bar. You might try that, to see if it clears an invisible looping timeline end point.

There is still something that puzzled me: Why the green colour sometimes indicate the active layer and sometimes not. But I thought I let you know what I've found out.
Please watch the video on YouTube!

BTW - I tried to create a new smart bone dial for the blink control for the servant character. While assigning the action to the dial bone, it simply disappeared. I'll redo those layers because there is clearly a problem with them.

Hi,
Based on what you wrote above, I'm wondering if you're overthinking the eyes setup.
If you're going to use a Switch Layer to open and close the eyes, you only need to make the two versions of the eye art and switch between them. To do that, you don't need to use an SBD, just use the Switch Selection window. If you want the vectors to animate smoothly, enable Interpolate Sub-layers in the Switch Layer settings. (For this to work, you need to use the same path for each layer...this is easiest to manage when you duplicate the original. The Interpolate Sub-layers effect is also more easily done using the Switch Selection window instead of an SBD.)
If you're going to use an SBD, you don't need a Switch Layer...just use the SBD to animate the points in the eyes vector art opening and closing.
If you really want to keep it simple, just animate the points and copy/paste the keyframes. Unless you plan to use the SBD many times across multiple scenes in your production, creating an SBD for such a simple animation might be overkill.
Hope this helps.

You didn't mention a smart bone dial earlier. That's why the wrong switch layer shows highlighted. You have both a switch keyframe in the main timeline and the SBD both trying to control it. Moho doesn't know which to display when you do this. If you use a SBD, you probably don't want to have manual keyframes in the timeline as well.
