Crop extra image from Flash exported file

Post by Zeb »

When I export an animation to Flash, it exports the entire animation inside AND outside of the image area I set up for the project. How do I crop this area out?

For example, my Flash player initially shows only the image area. However, if you drag the left and right border of the window, you can see the entire area, i.e., all items offstage and onstage. How do I avoid this?

I can think of three ways to overcome this problem -- the simplest is to create a frame in Flash which masks everything but the stage area.

The other two solutions? Mask the whole movie within Moho, or use a VidCam component in Flash which will only show the area underneath the component. (Ibis Fernandez sells one for $10 or so over at flashfilmmaker.com).

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Thanks, J! I think I will try a mask in Moho so I don't have to take care of this issue in Flash.
