Bones visibility

I'm trying to follow this excellent tutorial -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QdzlMU ... nel=MoeU33
With my own character. However, this setup is so complicated, I cannot easily see the bones.
For example, they are so thin that they are layering with each other.
Also, "Pin" bones are so small that I cannot even see which bone I selected. Zooming does not help, as bones are always the same size, no matter how your zoom works.
The second thing is that when I select bone and want to move it on the timeline, the second bone that's underneath takes control over the mouse.
Look at the image:

How can I work easier with this? It seems impossible sometimes.
Thanks in advance,
Patryk
