Can we get pixel perfect outlines when we turn off antialiasing? I've always wanted this. This would be really helpful for low resolution or pixel art sort of animation styles and also for rendering line work that can simply be colored in other software.
When antialising is turned off, the line width just jitters, the line width is at 1 pixel in the pic below and the outlines just flat out disappear half the time. This just seems like a basic thing that I think Moho should be able to do.

I made a post about this during Moho 13.5 and was really disappointed when it wasn't fixed in version 14 with the engine upgrades. This is a huge problem for any Japanese anime style workflows since all the AA gets applied in compositing. They need to fix and or overhaul how the no AA distributes its pixels because on top of this it bulks up in weird places sometimes to.
I agree. Sometimes I need to render without AA so I can apply certain post effects in After Effects more cleanly, and then I use the free OLM Smoother plugin to apply AA. But that workflow is no good when thin lines break up like this.

I didn’t realize this thread existed when I posted a similar request below:
I totally agree this feature would be a big help for creating pixel art animations and I certainly hope this feature will be implemented someday.

Did a quick test between Moho 12.5 and 14.3, but saw no difference. I was almost sure this worked better in older versions of Moho, but now I'm not so sure.
I used to keep older versions of Moho installed, dating back to Anime Studio (Moho) 9.0, but I no longer do. If anyone else here can check on older versions of Moho, I'm curious to hear the results.
Thanks!

It looks like you're right Greenlaw. I found the outlines to be more consistent in Anime Studio 9.5 as you can see below:
And in case it helps, here is a video demonstrating the settings I used and the differences between versions 14.3 and 9.5.
The outline in 9.5 still has some uneven thickness and occasional missing pixels, but it is a noticeable improvement over version 14.3.
I would love to see Moho improve to the point where this is no clumping of pixels or missing pixels from outlines. Similar to how PixelMash performs.
It saves a lot of work from manually cleaning up character frames for 30-60FPS game dev projects.

There is still a bit of artifacting going on especially on the upper part of the mouth where there is some lines disappearing but it's still a lot better than what we have now.

Can confirm it was an issue since Pro 11. I have not tested with 10 however I feel it may be similar. It seems the bug has always somewhat been there, but it wasn't as bad and was good enough with 9.5 and presumably below. So hopefully this gets fixed completely.
Line width set to 1
Line width set to 2

Ahh! Thank you for checking! I was so sure I used this capability in the past. Glad to learn I didn't imagine it.
