long file naming deletes previous file version irreversively

Post by Daxel »

When you save as-, and give your new file a long name, Moho saves the file using the previous file name, which replaces the file with that name.

For example. Let's say I am working with "the lion king 001 v23" but I decide to test some changes and I save the new version as "the lion king 001 v23B this is a test to see if reparenting the legs to the second bone of the torso breaks something but it seems to be working perfectly fine I believe". Then there is a warning saying the name is invalid, which is what should always happen when the name is too long.

But then to save it I shorten it just a little bit to "the lion king 001 v23B this is a test to see if reparenting the legs to the second bone of the torso breaks something but it seems to be ok" and try to save again. This time Moho proceeds to save the file but as "the lion king 001 v23" which replaces the original "the lion king 001 v23" file with the one I just made, and I think there is no way to recover that file so I thought you guys should know.
