I'm trying to follow the beginners course on YouTube. On the left leg, creating a smooth joint for bone pair went fine. I followed exactly the same steps on the right leg and the option is greyed out. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is this a bug?
I tried updating to the newest version of Moho 14 and it hasn't helped.
Smooth Joint should work fine in 14.2. I've used it for a few projects already with no issues.
Things to check:
- Ensure you select only two bones plus the art layer you wish to bind to the bones.
- Make sure you don't have another binding method applied to the layer that may conflict with Smooth Joint; like Bind Layer for example.
If you're not sure about the second point, select the layer and then choose Bone > Reset All Bone Rigging. This will reset the binding for only the selected layer to the default Flex-Binding. Now select the art layer, the two bones, and choose Bone > Create Smooth Joint For Bone Pair.
Hope this helps.

Your pair of bones is not straight. It has to be straight enough to used smooth join.
The smooth joint option in bone is availble only if:
1- you selected 2 bones and then select the (for example leg) layer. it will not work if youare on bone layer
2- Angle restriction: If we assume that two bones that are in a straight line have an angle of zero between them (of course, in reality it is 180 degrees), this angle between them must be set to something between 0 to 10 (bigger than 0 to less or equal to 10) 10>=angle>0. it will work in both direction( -10>= and 10>=) But NOT zero. I wonder why developers not said about it in Moho help.
