Mild freehand tool annoyance

So after using the tool extensively over the past couple of weeks i noticed one thing that i THINK could be an easy fix yet make life much easier:
It seems no matter what the smoothing/point reduction is set, when drawing, Moho would often create 2 or more points on top of each other at the start and/or end of a line. I think from what i've seen those two points are exactly on top of each other. If there was just a little checker like in 3D software (which runs automatically after a stroke) that deletes overlapping points that would be a huge timesaver because i often don't notice it until i want to deform a drawing.
Anyone else noticed this?
