sound stops working

Randomly when I'm working the sound will just stop working when I scrub. And when it's like that it also won't play. If I hit the spacebar, you can see the play button has been pressed, but nothing happens. When I close and reopen, everything works again until the next time. It usually happens a couple times an hour. It's weird that no one else is reporting this problem. I also have the issue where bezzier handles lock up. I've seen other post about that as well.

Moho's audio sometimes drops out on me, and it's typically after I've worked in another program using audio (like Audition or Vegas) in the background and then switched back to Moho. But I don't think this ever happened to me when I had only Moho running. Anyway, my 'fix' is to quit Moho and relaunch it. This happens rarely though, so I'm not sure this is the same thing you're experiencing. Just wondering, are you running other audio programs in the background when this happens to you? If I think of anything else, I will let you know.
Regarding Bezier Handles, that seems to happen when the visibility of the handles gets out of sync with the state of the tool. In other words, the tool may actually be in Regular points mode and not Bezier points mode, even though the handles are visible. Which version are you running? Just wondering because I thought this was fixed in the latest release.
Anyway, to fix this, make sure the Handles Visibility option is in sync for Transform Points, Add Points, AND Curvature. Curvature is typically the odd man out in this situation. Once you get them in sync, the handles should operate as expected. Let me know if this helps. I haven't seen the handles lock up in a while, but I have noticed the Handles option in Curvature can still get out of sync with the other two, so maybe a certain combo still causes that problem. I'll take a look later today and let the devs know there may still be a problem.

I'm not running any audio editing programs in the background, but I sometimes have VLC open. I'll pay attention to that. As far as bezier handles, I'll have to wait until the next time that happens. Thanks for the feedback!

i have been having same problem, but I have to quit and restart moho every 15 min or so.
Tried wav and mp3 files but still happens regularly. Hope to find a workaround besides restarting Moho. Thankyou

Ew, that sounds annoying.
Avoid mp3. If you're using .wav or .aif, be sure it's uncompressed for frame accuracy.
I've generally had good luck with audio in Moho, but it can drop out when I'm using an audio-hardware-intensive program like Adobe Audition, so I try not to keep both open at once.
I hope this helps.

Tried aif(uncompressed), wav (uncompressed) and mp3.
Nothing has worked so far. Thanks for taking time to reply.
I appreciate it.

Any chance you use bluetooth headphones while working with Moho?

I just checked, and even with plug in headphones, losing the connection causes play to stop working. Even momentary loss of connection makes Moho unable to play (you can still scrub, but without audio) until you restart Moho... even if you reconnect the headphones.
I've reported this issue.
