Hi all!

Just started using this program, so I'm probably doing something silly but I am having an issue nonetheless: I'm not sure which thickness setting is the "real" one :'D! I keep setting the line thickness very low because it comes out very thick while drawing, but when I switch layers sometimes it appears much thinner. At first I assumed this was something the program did automatically to keep layers visually distinct, but every so often a layer will retain the thicker lineart and I'm afraid I can't tell when or why exactly. Is there a setting in styles I'm missing? Or any way at all to keep the linewidth consistent between layers? I've been watching tutorials as well, but so far nobody's mentioned it/it doesn't seem to be an issue I've observed in any videos

Could it be that some of the layers were scaled up or down? The same could apply to subgroups if there were any.
Other than that, perhaps some accidental movement of the layer by the Z axis?

Also check your Line Width setting for the points vs. the Stroke Width setting for the Style. Line Width is a percentage of the applied Style’s Stroke Width, and it’s possible you have this set differently throughout the drawing.

In case you’re wondering why there are two separate properties for adjusting the width, think of the Style’s Stroke setting as the base setting for the shape, and the Line Width is an adjustment for the points along the curve. The latter is what allows the Stroke to be applied/edited with varying thickness in a specific shape.

More simply put: you want to adjust the Style’s width for the whole stroke, and use Line Width to vary the thickness of a Stroke at certain points.

For consistency throughout a drawing, use a Custom (aka Shared) Style that can be applied to all Strokes. This way, the width can be adjusted from one place for the whole drawing. (I use this technique for rigs meant for many scenes and different scales.)

You may try option, "Scale Compensation". If this one is not check, when you scale a vector layer, the stroke will change. For example, if you scale the layer bigger, the stroke will become smaller. If you scale it smaller, the stroke will become bigger.
If the option is check, no matter if you scale the layer bigger or smaller, the stroke will be calculated to keep the shape and stroke consistent.
Note this option work only when you scale the layer, not the shape (using transform point tool, for instance). If you scale the shape, the stroke size will be changed accordingly, just like the layer with Scale Compensation is unchecked.
This option has two levels.
1- Software level: This will effect all the new project files, you will be working on. You can go to menu preferences > Layers/Objects > check/uncheck the Scale Compensation for new layers
2- Layer Level: This will effects only the layer you apply the option to. Just clicked on the layer you want to apply the option to open the Layer Settings panel > General tap > under Option you will find Scale Compensation.
