soft Moho export / render

See the two images. In Moho 14.3 the brush looks good. When preview / exported, it is very soft. What to do?

The usual difference between preview/project view and final render? You should always do at least a test render before you decide on any brush.

In this case I do not see a work around. The final render is destroying the brush detail.
Been using Moho since version 5 and I did take some time off as I was doing other things. Now back at it with Moho 14 and so far every time I touch it, I run into another issue. Hmm...

how big is the rendered word (in pixels)? Have you got AA on?

Hm, I get sharp and crispy results with my brushes. I suspect it's a matter of project dimensions and maybe some other settings?

It's written in a 720p video setting. I do not see the anti-aliasing setting where it use to be. Did it get moved?
EDIT: Found it in Project Settings. Yes, it is on.

Not seeing an image. Just the word "image."

with the test file, the brush "hairiness" IS lost on render here (14.3 Win 10). I've tried with and without AA; increased the line width; rendered to .png and .jpg -- all similar in losing sharpness

Yep, that's what I'm seeing. It takes away the effect of the brush. I guess we will have to wait for upper support to see this. It's a little slower these days.

Looks like the render is the same as having GPU caching enabled and a different layer selected.
Since GPU caching is basically turning unselected layers into images, for better workspace performance, it might be equivalent to rendering for image-based brushes.
