Smart bone no longer works the action.

I made an action with a smart bone dial that was working perfectly.
I tweeked it a bit and even though it works in the action timeline it no longer works in the main timeline.

I've created some animation in the main timeline and all was well for a couple of days.

The bone dial still moves but it doesn't move anything that the action was supposed to move. And when I go back into the action, everything works.

I've already checked and all the keyframes in the action are linear.

I know this might be too complex for the forum. But just in case there's an easy fix, I wanted to post it here.

Sounds like you put a bone somewhere in between the smart bone layer and the controlled layer. This can disrupt bone influence while it still looks like it works in the action, because both are keyframed independently there.

Not sure what you mean. Which is the smart bone layer and the controlled layer?

And it was working when I finished for the day. Next day, not working. Only that action/smart bone has this happening.

- (1) Bone layer w/ smart bone
- - (2) bone or switch layer without any bones
- - - (3) vector or other layer type with keyframes in the smart action

You can have layer (2) without any bones and smart bones will work, but if you add a bone to layer (2) it will interfere with layer (1) bones being able to influence layer (3).
