:? how do shade a circle? ive been trying to do it. i put it on shade mode and made it right but when i make a circle it never shows the shading. can someone please help me?????????????????????

Please have a look at Tutorial 6.6 -
that should give you a fairly good understanding about some of the shadow options.

Jay, forgive me if I am stating the obvious, but were you aware that you don't see things like shading in the edit mode? In order to see the results of changes made to shading etc., go to File, Render (shortcut Control + R) to see a properly rendered image.
