Two or so years ago I came across Moho. Lots of awesome features but just never could get use to the drawing tools. I have recently taken some time to get use to these tools. I still don't agree with them but it looks like I will finally make a purchase. I have more ideas if Lost Marble is interested.

Here's what I'm use to and it's so much faster. This could all be done with one tool instead of four.

1.) Left clicking on a point, selects it.
2.) Left clicking and holding down while dragging a point, moves it.
3.) Left clicking on the center of a shape, selects it.
4.) Left clicking and holding down while dragging a shape, moves it.

I like the add point tool and I use it most when creating shapes. I just wish there was a way to have more control over the curvature of the lines. It takes too long to edit them with the current tool.

I haven't even made it to bones, oh my. Anyways, you'll be seeing some work from me, I just hope the tools get updated so I can get back up to speed.

Well, for example – key T + G selects either the “Translate Points”
or the “Select Points” tool.

Choose T and move any point –
Choose G click the shape and all is selected –
Choose T and move the whole shape around –
Choose G click into the empty space and all is deselected.

And these are only two possibilities –
Not to mention shift-, control-, control/shift-, control/option-, control/option/command-drag –
and many more.

Choose P (sharp corner) or M (soft corner)
when creating shapes with the Add Points Tool (A).

As a Wacom-user I can’t imagine a faster switch from one to another.
(one hand at the keyboard, one hand on the board)

Moho works in such a user-friendly and intuitive way – you just have to give it some time to get used to it.

Cheers
Nolan

Yes, getting use to and knowing the shortcut keys will help and thanks for posting those. I'm just use to doing everything I can with the mouse as it seems more natural to me. As a matter of fact, I even prefer to draw with my mouse more then I do with my tablet.

Check out the scripting forum.

There is a bunch of "custom" tools that are pretty cool and add some of those features.

I am using the one from Fazek... the points tools he modified. It works very much as you described... almost exactly really.

I didn't like the default tools at first same as you... I started hacking away at it. Was using my own modified set till Fazek's version... it is much better.

... I had to learn lua first... uh... well... enough to be dangerous anyway.

The lua scripting in moho is probably one of the most powerful features. What other application lets you modify all the tools and create new features? I wish more applications had this capability (wink wink nudge nudge).
