Moving Pivot for Point Rotation

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to move the pivot point when rotating selected points. When I select points, a pivot point becomes visible but I can't seem to manually reposition it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I think there may be a user created tool in the Scripting forum for this - I'm not home or I'd verify it for you (especially since Rhythm & Hues is one of the greatest studios out there. I took a tour a little while ago and it was a cool place). :) Maybe someone else can confirm if you don't find it. There are several notable user created tools in that section you may want to check out.

EDIT: Did a quick search. Was this what you needed

User macton also created a variation of this tool

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. I haven't tried the scripts yet but their descriptions sound like what I need. Will try them out in a minute.

I started using Moho last week and it impresses me more each day. Moho is a lot more powerful than I first thought it would be, and yet so very easy to use. It helps that there are a lot of great tips to be found this forum too.

Yes, R&H is a good place to be! This is my fifth year here and I have no complaints. :)

Thanks again for the help!

It is a great community and there are good artists and scripters adding value to it daily.

If you are testing Moho for an R&H project (and are allowed to say) it would be great to hear your experiences when time allows.

As for R&H - while we were waiting for the tour we spoke to a guy washing some employee cars -he had nothing but the highest praises for John and the company so I knew it had to be good.

I was also impressed that they allowed the tour. I send dozens of emails/letters to other studios and most didn't even respond. R&H is at the top of my list for internships when when I graduate from Brooks College in about 9 months.

Wow! I'm excited there are other LA effects people messin' around iwth Moho.
I'm just starting a personal animation project and discovered Moho a few weeks ago. After looking at ToonBoom and Flash I had conveived in my mind what the ideal tool would be. Moho keeps delivering everything I dreamed up, and more, for $100!! It's a crazy 2D 3D app, if that makes any sense.
Having more control of pivots would be nice too.
I worked at R&H for 3 years. Now at Sony. Soon to move to North Africa.
Give my regards to John and the gang!
