HI, well, I finally struggled thru my first drawing in Moho. I put the legs on seperate layers... put the bones in.. and when I went to use the manipulate tool to move the one leg.... the legs were stuck together and got all distored when I tried to move one. What on earth? The second leg was on a totally seperate layer. I'm sure it's a simple solution but can someone help me...?
Thx

Please have a look at Tutorial 3.4 “Character setup”.
It explains in very detail how to split up a character
and putting it all back together again.
Cheers

Well, that worked just fine... except one thing. When I tried to move the head back down.... it seems the point on the chin was glued and it stayed locked while the rest of the head came down. Of course that screwed up his chin. How do I unlock a point that won't move...??
This program is getting very fascintating.... and thanks so much for your help. I"ll post my work when I get it done. I"m slowly learning.. Yipee....
I know most of you here are very, very young... I"ll be 61 in a couple days but there is no reason I can't do it. I've been drawing in SwishMax for a couple years now and just love it. But Moho makes things move so nice so I must learn this too.

Check the bone strength on the head bone. Make sure it is the closest bone to those points and it covers them. Make sure you've set it to region binding...
If it isn't that...
Select all the points on the head layer.
Under the Bone menu...
Select
Release Points
Then select
Flexi-Bind Points
This should work... but... I can't tell EXACTLY what is happening. I've done this myself... accidentally binding and unbinding points to the wrong thing. This usually fixes it.
Or... One more option...
If the head is all one layer... and you don't need any point binding at all... you could use the bind layer tool and bind that layer to the head bone.

Whew.... not sure I understood what you just said. This is all very new to me. I"m not used to the tools yet let alone anything else....!!
I drew Betty Boop yesterday and I am just doing what you said to do with her. I have her head in a Group and I notice I can't select all to move her head up... I suppose thats no big deal.
I was doing that tut in 3.4 like you said and it was his chin that got stuck ... there was only one bone in it's head and I narrowed that down.....so I will see how I do in Betty Boop.

I am just taking her apart now and will put the bones in and see what happens. I will do what you said too.. thx.
Lord above..... this is consuming me and I must get to work....!! Does everybody become as addicted as I....??
Can't wait to actually make something move... something that I did and not part of a tutorial...!!
Thanks for standing by.... I appreciate it...!!! It sucks being new to a program... !!

I like your enthusiasm!
Yes... I am horribly... profoundly... addicted to Moho.
It will only get worse I'm afraid.
If someone made me choose between cigarettes and Moho... my head would explode.
