Hey All,

This is a silly little 7 second clip in Quicktime Format (3.5 MB). I wanted to see if I could sync a character to music in a goofy dance sort of way. You can download it by clicking on the preview image on the webpage here:

Or try the direct link here:

Feedback will be much appreciated. I had a BLAST making this little clip, kept laughing at myself!

Cheers,
Allen

J. Baker,

Thanks for checking it out. He is a goofy little basti'd ain't he?

More details about the clip:

1: Drawn on one layer

2: Parent Bone in the torso

3: From the Parent bone (in order), one bone in the neck and one for the head and 2 bones each for the 3 hairs.

4: All bones manipulated manually except for the hair. The top bones in each strand of hair were assigned the default dynamics available in Moho. That worked out rather well, I think.

5: The music was the intro from the popular 1958 song
Tequila by the Champs.

Thanks again,
Allen

jahnocli,

Thanks.

I think the animation in the beginning needs a bit of work. I was trying to make him look like a staggering drunk, not sure if that came off as planned. Anyway, I just wanted to see if I could match movements to music and this test satified my curiosity.

Look for a lip sync test soon...
