File for Poser importing script?

Hi!
It says on the e-frontier page that you need a python script to import Poser stuff into Anime Studio.
They also provide a nice link. But the file I get is called "poserobj" with no extension. Also, there is no readme, so I do not know whether one puts this file in Anime Studio or Poser. Or what folder to put it in. In addition, the file name in the tutorial video in no way resembles "poserobj" in either program.
Sooo, I revisit the tutorial page, and it directs me back to that funky link, so I now turn to the support forum.javascript:emoticon('

')
Wink But my search here under "Poser" did not turn up a likely thread.
Can someone direct me to the right file?
Thanks in advance!
Theo
PS. edited for lousy grammar.

Hi there,
I tried that out and got the same problem
you may need to rename the file by adding .zip to the filename and then extracting it.
Actually, i originally downloaded it using firefox but i downloaded it again with Internet explorer and it saved as the correct filetype (a compressed zip file)
dont worry about grammar
as long as it not overslanged language we can understand your meaning

Thanks!

Thanks, Patmals!
I was using Firefox, too. IE downloaded the file as a zip without a hitch! Isn't it wild what a difference a browser makes?
Off to play!

I was using firefox to download the poser5.exe and it kept wanting to save it as a html document. There was no way i could see to change this in Firefox either so i gave up.

Hi Michael,
down the bottom of
the Fanimetion page.
Separate tutorials page with links to large-ish .avi movies.
D.K,
try right-click and Save Link As

Just an FYI, yesterday the file link was balmy. It has the correct .py (Python) extension today so you should be able to get it easily. -R

Patmals THANK YOU!
omg.. I couldnt figure out what I was doing wrong until you pointed out to replace the extension with the .zip. I then could extract the files I needed and now it works fine THANKYOU!
Oh while I was on this topic... anyone else having difficulty in being able to see the
importing poser into Anim Stud avi file Tutorial? My real time player says there is bad data in the file and wont read it without going all wonky and the Windows media player wont open it at all.
I had no problem with the export tutorial at all. Just the import seems to be broken.[/img]

Confirmed, even though it says poserobj.py on both the link and during the d/l, you need to change it to a .zip and then extract it to get poserobj.py (and the readme file).
Gonna need to go beat up their web guys. . . -R

Well, yesterday it wasn't working at all -guess we shouldn't complain.
I was doing some work prior to the plug-in, and what you could get was a little b/w outline of the figure. This makes a world of difference.
I suspect it may also resolve the "buck nekkid" export/import of Poserlings to Manga Studio EX, and possibly even Lightwave. Boy, that's gonna save me some time if it works.-R
poser script link should be working now

Yah I tried it twice more and still comming out at 13 mb for me. I sent in a bug report via email to the website support.. hopefully they will fix this soon. I do really want to finish the tutorials
I did manage to figure how to import it on my own but I am always worried that I am missing a step.
