Izmo, your right!

I was hoping to use Japanese text but..i couldnt

i tried with both "draw text" and the "credits" script..

they just turn out like squares and triangles..

maybe you would need to create them in another vector graphics package and import them back?

Of course, there is always the workaround of creating the accented characters in a wordprocessor and copy them through the clipboard (or, as in this case, copy the text from within a web browser window).

There also is an issue with files that contains any special characters in their filenames. If you try to import an image file for example, you'll get the "broken image"icon in the work area.

Unfortunately this is still an issue in 2006 for several software packages, operating systems, and network/server-combinations. *sigh*

There's the workaround to use 7-bit-ASCII only for filenames, but it constantly annoys me.

very disappointing

I was told by E-Frontier's technical support that Anime Studio does not support unicode. Now how is that possible in 2006? I hope there will be a fix soon. Imagine not being able to save your file with eg. Scandinavian letters. :(
