Thanks wizaerd, i threw this together in a few hours, rotoscoping it.
its all drawn using the add point tool and the mouse.
still a long way to go and plan to attempt the whole opening sequence

The Naruto openings are a littile difficult to rotoscope..the screen is moving all time time..like a handheld camera..

There's a script which will mimic a handheld camera in AS...

Hi Jahnocli,
I am aware of the script, thanks but its because the source is moving all the time which causes me some pain.
I could try and stabilize the motion in After Effects or something but..i think it wil take a while to do it and get it as still as i need it to be.
Thanks anyway!

Ideally, the way around that would be to avoid rotoscoping it all at once.
Instead, rotoscope the content in layers... like so:
1. Foreground effects
2. Foreground objects / elements
3. Main characters / objects
4. Backdrop characters / objects
5. Background scenery / effects
Then recombine the elements in post using a video editor, making sure you have appropriate alpha mattes for each layer.
You could probably do it entirely from within Moho / Anime Studio, but I imagine layer organization is going to get really tricky pretty quickly.
Another item that might help sell the Naruto "look", would be to render to an image sequence, then batch process a few parts of it through photoshop to add that halftoning effect (filter>sketch>halftone pattern...) commonly seen throughout the show.

Thank you very much for you input Bones3D!
I'm lucky to hae After effects, i plan to put alot of the work into that for visual looking and sequencing
Hows your work going mate? I'm curious to see what you have planned. Do you plan to do something with a Rumiko Takashi work?
I would like to tackle (just to gain experience and fun in AS) Urusei Yatsura.

This is quite hard...
Maybe i should try a more simpler task first...
