I have a shape, and I've messed around with various fills and outlines, and have decided I like it. I wish to save it as a stlye so I can apply it to other shapes. In the style palette, I choose the Styles dropdown and choose New. But when I do so, it resets the styles palette to some default, thus losing my style. How do I create a new style without it resetting?

Hover with the Select Shape tool over your shape and select your shape:




Go over to the Style panel and press Copy:




Select a new style and name it:




And press Paste to paste the style of your shape:
