Gradient follow direction

It would be nice to have gradients and shadows that can be set to follow the direction of a reference object(point or light)

Thought I'd bump this one up because I think it's a good idea.
Photoshop has something like a "Universal" angle that you can either use for an effect or use a different angle.
It would be good to include in the Project Settings dialog box. There could be a setting for Light Source orign. Then when you choose a Shaded effect, you would have the option to have the offset of the shadow be taken from the Light Source or to make your own settings -- there could even be a setting to Shade highlights (lighten the areas that are opposite the shadow shaded area. There could be variations on this for Glow and such.
And if "sort by True Distance" is checked in the Project Settings, then you can change the Z depth of the Light source in a camera view.

I wonder if the shadow property could be controlled with a bone in a layer script? That might be worth checking into.
Of course, Rasheed and I both have had trouble keyframing a layer's property properly from bone motion... very tricky.
