"Puppet-style" video tutorials

Just seen a couple of really impressive tutorials for puppet-style animation...

head comp animation
body acting

The guy's voice is monotonous, the picture quality is poor, and it takes a while to get going(!), but the CONTENT is pure gold. Best to view them in the order given above. It's aimed at Flash users, but don't let that put you off either -- the principles are just as applicable to Anime Studio. Both tutorials last about fifty minutes, so grab a coffee and get comfortable before you start!

hey, these videos were recorded at the desk beside mine!

remember kids, you can download Jack and about a billion other flash puppets, props and more from 'FREEJACK' at OddJobJack.com... as mentioned in this thread: http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4916

very handy if you want to go through these tutorials with the exact same resources... then apply your learning to Moho!!!

In the second tutorial, it sounds like a hamster is being tortured in the background at one point! That wasn't you, was it!?

no, that was a real hamster...

whenever the animators don't make quota, the animation directors torture the hamster in front of everyone as punishment.

It should download a (big!) zip file. You should then just be able to unpack it and browse through all the stuff. I've done it eleven times...

That was awesome.
