hi guys and girls,
i haven't posted work in a long time... so here it goes. it is not a character animation. i was asked to animate a painting by a friend. so this is my first shot at it and i would appreciate if you'd be willing to give me some feedback of crits about it before i finalise it.
thank you

Is nice to see someone doing something a bit different with Anime Studio.

I like the way the lines draw themselves in, but the colors make the lines difficult to see. I do like the way the elements spin themselves in in their solid, colored form, and then the background turns black. Very nice. As far as i'm concerned the only problem is the colors used for the beginning drawing sequence.
Nice job.

thank you guys for the nice comment and constructive criticism. i am still tweaking it so i might put a refined version of it later on.
@Jcook: i agree i think i need to either change the background or the shade of blue of the lines. thanks again

Im very curious to know how you create an animation where it draws everything out... I think that may be a feature only on anime studio pro.

very cool!

i am also curious of the method you used
i presume you used masks or reverse point animated after each stroke?
I agree with the above comments about the colour, but also will add that I thought the primary spinning elements, red and white, were not as smooth as they could be. since they are so attention grabbing it was a shame the rotation was jerky, esp the white.
perhaps slow down the rotation? change the rate of aceleration/deceleration? or use a motion blur effect?

thank you for the nice comment,
@booboookitten: for the drawing element i used the layer script, basically you need to draw you shapes first then activate the script et voila! (i know there is a thread about it somewhere. search for layer trail, i think)
@lordstok, thanks for the comment. i am actually in the process of tweaking this bad boy so that the actual animation and all the spinning elements are better. i only used this to try my idea out.
i think the red and the white bits need attention and most of all the rotation have to slow down.
tthank you
hopefully i'll post it soon
