Sorry if these are newb questions prior to my purchasing Anime Studio Pro - I was unable to find some specific answers on the E-Frontier site.

First question I have concerns 3D OBJ import. I know ASP can import, but how is this file used in ASP? Is it still a 3D object that can be rotated and moved within the canvas? The import 3D quicktime I watched shows the import of a character, but I have more of an interest of using 3D for background work. If ASP only renders the OBJ flat and doesn't provide a way to manipulate in 3D it becomes a bit less useful, as I can render the OBJ in a 3D app and import.

Second question is a bit more straightforward. I was unable to define the project to HDTV resolution (1280x720) in the trial version. Is this a limitation of the trial or will ASP act the same?

you can turn and move 3d objects in all axis.
there is no light in AS, so your object won't have shading but it will have the texture.

you can put bones to 3d objects, but bones just works in a 2d way, so for make complex movements you'll have to think a lot (separate the object in several bone layers, for example).
you can use 3d for backgrounds, but remember there is a visual hierarchy in AS, so the characters will be front of the background or back of the background.

In ASpro you can give any resolution (even 9000x9000)
