silly question

hey!

New to AS, so please be kind! hehe.
I'm trying to get used to the drawing/painting tools on AS, but I'm so Photoshop-minded that can't get much done.

How can I pick up a color from a previous line or fill I've made?

In Photoshop or other paint softs, we use the "drop tool" feature, so we can pick any color on the swatches or any part of the pic.

any help appreciated :)

Hello Starchild,

use the Select Shape tool to click on the fill/line.

You can then either use the Copy and Paste buttons on the Styles panel, or click on the colour "patch" to read the colour values from the color picker.

You can also render your previous work and load the rendered image as a palette swatch.

Regards, Myles.
