Problem exporting to swf

I have scenes that when I export to swf, the render progress bar thing comes up for a second, but stays at 0%, then the whole program closes, no message, no "do you want to save", no nothing. And it doesn't create a flash file.

I noticed that all the scenes I had this problem with used avi's with alpha, and had them moving around, changing scale, etc. I tried deleting all the layers with Avi's, but the problem persisted. Can anyone tell me how to fix this, cuz it's really frusterating...

Click on Help|Help...|Reference|Flash tips to see what can and can't be exported to Flash. One of the main problems is trying to export boned bitmaps etc...

Happens to me as well. Try to use the batch render option instead, it works without crash so far.

I guess the problem lies in rendering and trying to update the screen at the same time.

I have the problem on my Mac, yet on my PC it's fine. Like thingy said, batch render is good. Also try exporting layer by layer, and then try exporting 50 frames at a time.

have you tried any third party software for this?
I have not experienced any problems with Video To Flash Converter PRO at geovid.com

It's a good idea, but it isn't vector then, it's just a sequence of raster images and that boost's the file size up by loads. Then that sort of defeats the object of swf vector export.
