like play controls... WTf am I doing wrong?

This has to be the worst put together help file I've ever seen for any program. there's not even an index or a table of contents.

the website seems pretty useless as well. No FAQ?

The play controls are built-in to the bottom of the main window - I don't see how they could disappear.

Are you running at a low resolution e.g. 800x600? Anime Studio really requires 1024x768 or better.

Or are you running Windows with the taskbar at the bottom set to both autohide and stay on top of other windows, and the Anime Studio main window set to maximum? In this case the play buttons will be hidden behind the taskbar when it pops up when you put your mouse near the bottom of the screen.
Solution: either set your taskbar to not autohide (my preference), or set it not to show above other windows, or don't maximize the main AS window. Or be very careful how close to the bottom of the screen you move your mouse.

As for the help file - do you have JavaScript turned off?
There is no index but there should be a nice expanding/folding table of contents.
