Edit button

Because of
this thread in the Feature Requests section of this forum, I want to create an edit button:
A tool that returns you to frame zero. It should be only enabled outside frame zero, and disabled in frame zero.
If someone is willing to create such a tool script, that would be great. Otherwise, I will create it myself, if I have time.

Hi Rasheed!
I've been working with
cinelerra since last year. It was a little difficult to learn at the begining but at least it is a great program (non linear video editor for linux). It has a feature that sould be very useful with any timeline editor like AS. You can put labels at any timeline position and navigate trough them with CTRL and the left and right arrows. Of course it have the same with buttons. Also the labels have a tag that can be some description of the frame point to identify later.
So with this label navigation tool you can go to frame 0 quick (perhaps with ALT + left arrow), make the edition miodification and then go to last label (or what ever label that you want) and continue playing and time editing.
A button that goes to frame 0 already exists. Is the "rewind" button in the main editing window. The problem is quick return to the frame where you were editing...

Well, I knew that button was there, only it is so far away from the Tool window. I guess there are users (me included) who often forget to rewind the timeline and start editing their points, etc. If the edit button were also in the Tool window, there was an extra opportunity to rewind your timeline. It never hurts for important buttons to appear in multiple places.
A return to previous frame should logically be located in the timeline window, which is AFAIK not customizable. Perhaps a custom keystroke can be used to do this. However, I'm not sure how one would invoke a script with a keyboard shortcut.

I'm not home to try this, so this may be way off but 7feet did this script some time back.
http://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1150 I don't remember if the camera views would jump from the settings at one key frame to another -been too long since I used it. If it does then I thought maybe some of the code would help give you a start -so you could maybe save four markers -one at frame zero- to jump back to them?

Well, that would be a nice addition. I will look at the code.
