Hello all!

I am working on lipsynch for a caracter, all the switch layers are done and they work fine until I turn on interpolate sub-layers, here are 2 examples made with the clinton sound clip.

This one has no interpolation and works as suposed to.

This one has interpolation turned on and the layers go moving around

Anyone seen this and knows how to solve? I tried redoing the faulty layers but no luck, thanks in advance!

I have had this problem a lot and have found that two things seem to relate to it. One is the origin point of the layers. The other is the4 actual location of the points in the layer. From what I have seen, the origin for a number of sub-layers in a switch must be the same. On top of that, when editing the different switches, if you use tools like the translate layer tool, that information is recorded and remains in the coordinates box of that layer, meaning that offset is not the same as selecting all points and translating them.

What I had to do to get over this problem was first, zero all origin points for my switch layer sub-layers. Now things were really looking bad. I also had to zero the layer location (check the translate layer tool and see if there i a value in the coordinates box. If so, zero it out.) Finally, select all points in each sublayer and line them all back up. Everything should work great then.

Unfortunatlly I could not find out how to zero things in AS or even find the coordinates box you mentionned.

Instead I created new sub layers, copy pasted the data from the old ones, I moved the data and aligned it with move points only, did the trick.

Here is the fixed clip with interpolate turned on, the lipsynch was done in Papayago, not the best but it was merelly a test!
