Daz-production has a sale on Carrara. The base version is only $10 ($100 reg). The mid version is $100 ($250 reg). It looks very tempting. I would like to ask the experts out there before I send the cash. All I know is that Carrara is a 3D modeler and I already have Poser 5, free from the last offer.

Carrara is mainly an animator and a rander, the modeller tools are complete but limited, inferior to Silo or Modo.
Only the pro version has a complete sub d tools.
