No sound when exporting animation

Hello there.

I have a problem which I need to fix real quick, because I need to hand in this animation to uni really soon.

I added a soundtrack, its a .wav file. It plays fine when playing in AS, but when I export it to a movie (like avi or mov), there is no sound.

Please if anyone could help, I'd be grateful!

Well, the quickest fix I could suggest would be to use VirtualDub to add the wav file to the avi without recompressing the avi.
http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourcefor ... lusive.zip
Choose "Direct stream copy" on the video menu, and add the wav in the Stream List.

Thank you for the idea. That will have to be my last resort, I need it for tomorrow!

Any idea why it is not working in Anime Studio?

There is a specific wav format that AS likes. Sometimes wav files don't work properly when exported because of the format. You may find something on this doing a search. I think a discussion about this was... fairly recently.

I've encountered this a few times but usually it won't even import into AS. I use Audacity to "resave" the wav in different formats till one of them works.

One of these days I will have to write down those darn settings. ;)

If you export the animation starting from anything more than frame '1', sometimes the audio doesn't export. (eg, if you export the animation from frame 2 to 350, the audio won't export. Make sure you export from frame 1 to whatever.)

That's my suggestion.
