Like moving emoticons, if not in Anime Studios, how can you make image files in which the image does animation repeatedly. This seems cool for avatars and for websites. Could you tell me how to do this?

Thanks

Aha, you want an animated GIF.

There are many inexpensive animated GIF tools (and a very expensive one, too: the newest version of Photoshop does animated GIFs).

I highly recommend GIF Movie Gear http://www.gamani.com/. (For Windows only).

It's well-designed, runs like a charm, extremely powerful, inexpensive, and in short, it's just a joy to use.

A good part of the power of Gear is that it accepts AVI movies and converts them into animated GIFs.

If you need a cross-platform application or freeware, GIMP now does animated GIFs, but I don't know if will be easy. A search turned up this:

Note that in the near future, however, everything will change. Firefox will support the APNG format, which allows transparent animations with an alpha channel.

Whoohoo!

Thanks!

Not interested in this right this second, but I wanted to know if you could do it in AS. I guess if I wanted to make an animated GIF for an avatar, I would just get the gamani trial and make an AVI movie in Anime Studios.

Thanks again
