You'll hate my cover of
genie in a bottle then!
Ha, enjoy... somewhat!
I'm going to make every open mic night a living hell...

I wasn't sure about it when it started...
I think it grows on you. I love it!
I never heard the original and I got a bit of a Robert Smith vibe on that one. Actually I thought maybe it was a Cure song you were covering (shows you how much I know about music).
So I had to check who did it first...
CHRISTINA AGUILERA????
I was a bit surprised. Nice cover. I don't even have to hear the original to know it's a nice cover.

Personally, I liked it. I like IDM, chiptunes, etc., and I agree with Vern that it has a Robert Smith sound to it -- which, like Marmite, I have a taste for.

Wow, Robert Smith eh?! I didn't think my singing was at all comparable to anyone at all because it's that terrible. Thanks!
I think i'm going to be covering more diva related songs. Tina Turner, Destinys Child... etc...

there is nothing wrong with your voice, you are so used to hearing it as you speak that it sounds strange (at first) to hear it as others hear.
Do you use a mike track over the instrumental track and what hard ware did you use?

Yeah, i multi-tracked it separately . So vocals on... quite a few tracks, and i rewired reason (which had all the music) into ableton live... which may i say is a bugger to use - considering i'm so used to cubase sx's interface.
I just used a simple mixer, and a firewire m-audio audiophile to record the vocals and lead solo thingy.

I'm on a imac with garage band . Would this work with the m-audiophile?

Yeah, it should do. The audiophile is mac (and recent firmwares make it universal binary) compatible. I do believe it's OS9 and up compatible aswell, so if you're on earlier mac os builds you shouldn't have a problem.
The way to get it to work with in your software environment is to go to preferences and find the audio options to select which audio driver, or, sound card you want to use.
Any problems PM me.
