Hi,
In flash, its control + up or down arrow, in illustrator its shift + [ or ]... can we have one for AS? also, shift+ctrl+ whatever to make it top or bottom? i think that would aid the drawing process a lot.

Shortcuts are your best friend.

It's just the up and down arrow keys in AS. The shape has to be selected, of course. And shift-up or shift-down for bring to top and bring to bottom.
