HELP! I was working on an animation with GIF images! I was animating them and it was going all good so far. Then I decided to call if a day and save the animation to work on later.
Here's the animation I exported. This one is fine.

A couple of days later I decided to get to work on animating again and when I opened the ASP5 file, my GIF images had turned into paper with shapes on them oh the horror! :( Despite them looking like that on the workspace, I took the possibility that maybe that's just how they looked on the workspace and not when exported! That's why I decided to keep going. I imported second versions of the old one that were now pieces of paper. You can see what happened here.

NOW HOW DO I GET MY CHARACTERS BACK!?!!?!?

The image layers holds a file per layer. If you move to other place the image file or move the anme file to other place AS loose track of where to find the original image. Then it shows that kind of "lost image".

Go to the layer properties and to the Image tab and restore the image source file.

From the built in help:
This tab is only available for image layers. There are only three controls in this tab. First, a button labeled "Source Image..." lets you select the image to be used in the image layer. Use this if you want to change the image, or if it got lost for some reason. Next is a checkbox labeled "AVI movie has alpha" - turn this on if the image layer is using an AVI movie, and that movie includes an alpha channel. Finally, there is a checkbox labeled "Warp using bones". If this box is checked and the image layer is placed inside a bone layer, the bones can be used to warp the image as if it were printed on a rubber sheet.
