That's the first time I cannot solve by myself an issue regarding to common tasks...
Please upload the anme file and try to do the following:
http://www.darthfurby.com/genete/Other/noshape.anme
1) Select the create shape tool
2) In the drop down menu select the group of points called "yesshaoe". (I wanted to write yesshape )
3) Press space bar or the Create Shape button. Everything is fine...
4) Select now the "noshape" group of points
5) TRY to create a FILLED shape...

Why it doesn't work??? :( .(The selected points are forming a closed curve)
None of the outer sections can be created, the inner yes...
Any idea, myles, heyvern, ... ?
Maybe I have loose something of the basic rules but I don't see it!

The outer ring vector seems to be "doubled".
You can only see this if you add a point to this line.

It is the outer most ring. There is an exact copy that is welded into it. Just add a point anywhere along that line and you will see the extra spline "appear". This is why it won't fill.

I carefully deleted that spline and it filled.

Ouch!
Yes! it was the way it was constructed! Duplicate the circle and weld the points... It produces a double line with the same points...
Sorry for making you loose the time...
Thanks for quick response. :D

Only took a few seconds. ;)

I was pretty sure what the problem was when I saw the file. So I just started adding points at random till the "phantom" spline showed up.
;)

This has happened to me before. It usually happens when I have a complex shape and I delete too many points. The spline "collapses" onto a spline in the same location and you can't even see it.
