Matching up lines inside interpolating switch layers

Okay I have a switch layer- and all the layers inside of it were duplicated from the same original layer, so they all interpolate between one another. If I wanted to reshape a line (several points) and position it identically in all of the layers inside the switch, is there an easy way to go about this? Cut and paste won't work because that will mess up all my fills. Or do I have to translate each point of the line individually in each individual switch? If so, is there a quick easy way to do that? Right now I'm copying and pasting the x and y values, then clicking translate. Hope I'm making sense here.

There is no "easy" way.

The technique you already mentioned (copy/paste) is what I use.

I also use named shapes so I can then put them back in the correct order. Shape order changes do not effect interpolation.

I don't know if it is possible but here I go:
Let's call A the layer with the target curve position.
1) Go to frame 1. Select only the points of the target curve in the layer A.
2) Make a click into the main window meanwhile the translate points tool is selected. It would create a keyframe at that frame.
3) Select the keyframe. Press copy.
4) Go to the other layer you want to copy the points position (still at frame 1). Press Paste. As far as I know if the objects of two layers are the same (in this case points) the keyframe(s) can be copied/ pasted between those layers. It was disscussed in other thread but I have never tried. Sorry it I'm telling a stupid thing.
5) If everything works and you're happy with the result just copy / paste the keyframes to the frame 0.

Eeks- well I decided to save myself the trouble and just move the problem line into it's own layer outside of the switch. Which was a real pain but it will save me loads of trouble when I'm trying to animate.

Anyway- I did come up with a nifty way to make a lipsynch switch layer that interpolates smoothly between every phoneme- even when they have a different # of points that make them up. Works fantastic with Papaygo. I'll try to make a tutorial on exactly how I do lips when I have the time.
