helllooo everyone...

i am creating character body parts in photoshop. i make sure that i smooth the parts real good...but when i export to AS the edges of the parts are jagged.

can anyone give any advice on smoothing?

you probably need to work in a larger format in
Photshop, and at high resolutions

Make sure that not only the visible drawing has smooth edges but the mask, too. An easy way to achieve this would be: create a new PS document, create an empty layer, draw your character on this layer, make the bottom layer invisible so the gray checkerboard shows up, export for web, choose PNG and transparency.

Working in high resolutions from Photoshop is good advice, as I've learned from experience. Another thing to keep in mind is that what AS displays on the screen is a quick preview. What you get in the render might be smoother and more visually appealing.
