Unwelding weded points or deleting a line joined by two points without distortions.
BTW. I searched but didnt found anything useful on this.

I might be mistaken, but I don't think there is a way to "unweld" points that have been weld.

Without distortions?
Without more information I am only guessing at your goal here.
You use the
Delete edge (D) tool to delete a line... that's pretty much the only way.
Because AS uses a unique curve description that is different from other drawing applications, deleting any points or edges will effect those on "either side". There is no way around it unless the points are "peaked".
What I would suggest as an aid but not a solution, is to add two "extra" points on the edge to be deleted. Delete the line between the new points, use the "dangling points" to adjust the curvature.
I use that technique all the time.

HEY VERN,
"UNLESS the points are peaked??" I tried that and it has the same effect as deleting an ordinary point??
Anyways, the last solution helps a lot. THANKS. i will use that.

If the point is peaked on one end of the deleted edge that curve won't change. Hard to explain and it isn't going to help you much anyway.
