creating a shape with several areas

I want to draw glasses but can't create a shape. Here's my attempt:
http://www.moonbike.de/egalbA/Glasses.anme

Maybe this is five shapes and not one? Then the neighbouring shapes would share some edges, is this possible?
I want to fill the earpiece, but not the lenses.

There's still a lot to learn ...

You can fill as only one shape all the regions that not share the same edge. For example the earshapes and the nose shape. Also other single shape can be both eyeglasses. But an eyeglass and the nose shape at the same time is not possible. Because AS understand that it should be an outline only. If there is an outline that goes inside the shape and cross the shape from side to side, then it is not possible create a filled shape there.

For the eyeglasses select the edge points and press the create shape tool. For the earshapes and the nose shape so the same. It would work.

Select the Create Shape Tool (U) /
hold down the shift-key and select all points surrounding the area you would like to fill
(tick on them, they go red and you’ll see a red line following your action) /
when you see the checkerboard, choose your colour and hit the space bar /

I could create the earshape at the left and the noseshape as one shape, and the two glasses as one shape.
2 x rubberbanding the two shapes while holding shift worked, so this is done very fast. :)

For some reason I couldn't create the earshape at the right together with the the noseshape and the left earshape, but that's no big problem.

Thanks a lot for the info, Nolan and Genete!
