AS I recently tried feeding an avi into AS. Now when I tried to export it as a test run in mov format for instance. The effect is that of a 3-D film where the colors are kinda all over the place and the vid is useless. How do you or can you fix this issue? Need to know a fix cause I what to do a project combining the two. Would appreciate some helpful input or solutions.

Sounds like a codec issue to me. Is your avi already compressed before it is imported into AS? If so, there may be some incompatibility between the avi coming in and the mov going out. If you can, always use uncompressed video as your source, or at least a non-lossy compression like png.

Video is tricky. I can just guess where the problem lies.

I have a project with imported AVI files right now which nicely exports to Quicktime - on a Mac. If you're working on Windows, the trouble could be caused by a faulty Quicktime installation, but this is just a wild guess.

Have you tried to change your source file to Quicktime first before you imported them into AS? And how does the export to AVI work?

Well fellas, answer to some questions- windows is the OS I'm utilizing, ASP of course, and when it's just export toons straight from ASP to mov. setting at animation it's perfect. However including the avi you know the deal even when it was done uncomp. but to mov. format. But to be sure again I'll do it step by step and get back to you shortly with the full proceedure, and maybe you can advise cause I've ran it so many times I've got screen 4 eyes. Alright. Well Slowtiger and Barry Baker, it's seems that converting my AVI's to MOV first is the key for whatever reason. Guess you both were aiming in the right direction. Anyway at the moment that seems to work best. Appreciate the hand guys.
