Hey Rasheed Thanks very much for taking the time on this. Much appreciated! It's a shame the software can't do it straight ahead in the way it seems to say it can. This is a bit of a work around which will take me longer to implement over the number of scenes its used in. I hope the programmers can ...

Jagged Image Texture in 5.6

There's been a bit of talk about the texturing in 5.6 not behaving properly. Whenever I use an image texture the quality looks like its compressed with artifacts present. It moves well with the object but its quality is terrible. It gets worse the smaller it is. Check out the comparisons between thi...

Heyvern, thanks for verifying that :D

I have another question about textures in 5.6 where i keep getting very jagged results, whereas in version 5.5 the images were nice and smooth, but i might start another post about that.

Hi everyone. Perhaps I haven't explained very well. Here is the kind of setup i use: *Character (switch) - character front (bone parent) - character side (bone parent) - character back (bone parent) Each of the bone layers are parenting a whole bunch of layers e.g. head, legs, arms, body. In order t...

I need to animate layer ordering in a switch layer all the time. Within a switch layer, I have turn arounds of a character - front, side, back. Each view consists of a bone layer with layers of the head, arms, legs, body on different layers. Also, turn arounds of the head are switched between in a s...

Except it doesn't work when the layer is contained within a switch layer. That's a bit of a bummer when you use switch layers a lot like i do - to switch between the different views of a character or to switch between scenes etc.

Thanks Genete for the tip. That works if you are only moving from one shape to another one but becomes more complicated when there is more than 1 in the switch folder as there normally is in lip synching for instance.

Any other ideas?

baking switch keys

Switch layers are cool but it doesn't seem possible to edit the shape of a switch layer once its been keyframed. As far as I can tell it isn't possible but it would be cool if you could: Turn a key frame for a switch state into a normal keyframe of a shape whose points can then be changed about. :?:...
