Okay, I get it now: you're talking about using 'Blur radius' in the layer settings to create the blur effect manually. Nice hack!

Re: How to change focus distance?
Thanks for the suggestion, but Focus Distance can't be adjusted from Layer Settings. Still, nice info!

How to change focus distance?
I know that I can define the focus distance using the project settings. But is it possible to change focus distance as part of the animation? I need it for bringing an object in the foreground into focus.

Re: White Edges around PNG images?
I have done some tests - 100 % visible pixels displays fine, and there is no problem with 100 % invisible pixels. It looks like AS has a problem with semi-transparency. Take a look yourself: http://s23.postimg.org/douw29lq3/test_anti.jpg The anti-alias and blurring in the first two examples produces...

Re: White Edges around PNG images?
Just discovered this old post, and I also have a bit of trouble with these annoying white halos at the edge of bitmaps. It becomes real noticeable when I have dark bitmaps on a dark background. Designing the bitmap in oversize and then downscaling it to something like 0.25 in AS seem to help a bit. ...

Re: Bone Dynamics stopped working
Thanks for the answers -- sorry about the lack of examples, but things works now: The problem was that my bone-layer contained loads of bitmap graphic, without any bones to guide them. This created a happy mess that jammed the dynamics. After removing the bitmaps from the bone layer, it all worked!

Bone Dynamics stopped working
I have enabled bone dynamics, but the bone don't move - it is like it is fixed in place, even with torque force at 20. Perhaps something is overriding the dynamics?

... assign multiple bones to a single layer?
I know that I can select the layer, then enable the 'Bind Layer' icon in the Bone palette and click a bone to bind it to ... but what if I want to bind the layer to multiple bones?

Re: What size should I make my bitmap graphic?
Thanks, I finally got it! I ended up working in extreme oversize and sizing down to 25 % after import. I have now created my first character - lotsa dislocated bodyparts and unintended moonwalking. I think I'll hang out in the tutorial section for a while!

Re: What size should I make my bitmap graphic?
Thanks, you're right, DPI is ignored on import. Also, camera zoom and workspace zoom is ignored, which makes things a lot simpler. I will aim at keeping all my graphic at the same relative pixel size, so their proportions fit each other on import. I think I add a 1920x1080 px box inside each .psd fi...

What size should I make my bitmap graphic?
Hello, I'm quite new to this software, but I already have a question:
I want to design my graphic in Photoshop, then import the .psd into Anime Studio. I prefer bitmap over vector. But how big should I make the graphic? And does dpi matter?
