Re: Have more than one skeleton control the vector image?
Greenlaw- I did have a look at the Airplane animation. Very Nice! It's pretty clear to me now how I will handle these transitions. I can see the need for a couple of different skeletons for general pose changes, but I understand the need for special condition changes as well. It seems easy enough to...

Re: Have more than one skeleton control the vector image?
Thank you for the advice. I will be using copies, as you guys have suggested. I did something similar in my "Box" animation, switching to a mirrored copy in the middle of a jump, just matching poses, eyeballing it basically. You are right, I can make a better transitions with proper planni...

Re: Have more than one skeleton control the vector image?
OK, that will be my plan. Now, is there a way to copy the vector drawing in a pose from a smart bone dial action? You know, in the altered position, then make that the default position of the copied character?

Have more than one skeleton control the vector image?
In some 3d apps, you can use several control skeletons to drive a single geometry skeleton. This way you can make IK FK switching and such, using a weight value to determine which controller will drive the geo. Is there a recommended way to achieve this in AS? Can you use different bone set ups in a...

Thanks Danimal! I had fun making this one as well. I am thinking now, I should make a series with different gags as the outcome.Danimal wrote:Oh wow, this really looks wonderful. Nice job!

Here is a short I made to proof my rig and character. Just a a test that went too far :) h-1_scmTtIM Was originally under another topic, but since it's now sort of a finished piece unto itself, I made a new topic. I learned quite a bit about AS in this exercise, and it was a lot of fun. Hope you enj...

Re: Character Design/Rigging
I love it! Very nice design and render. This is wholly a style choice, but I like to see a little variation on the line work. Accentuate curves a bit, giving a little weight to the lines. This example is a little over the top, but you can definitely see the variation. http://rcorycollins.weebly.com/...

Re: how to convert current animation to be on 2s
Very nice. Have you tried a render without the shadow? I think that would look even more like pencil then, this shadow practically screams "DIGITAL" all over it. Ha ha! Absolutely right. I will do that. I am using that shadow like people used lens flares in 3d renders when it first became...

Re: how to convert current animation to be on 2s
Ok, cool! I was doing it wrong, by clicking on the first setup frame when I was multiselecting the keys. Once I skipped that one, I was given the option to set the interval. Here it is on 1s: HGwy9mEOUx4 And on 2s: 1vhPSx83f-4 Of course, I am going for a pencil or line animation style. Does the 12fp...
