Huh. I'm surprised to hear that the animation carries over. Do you animate it in a file of its own and then import that?

Broken rig goes wild if I try to animate it.
Can anyone help me fix a rig that goes absolutely wild if I try to animate movement in the hip bone? All bone weights are off.

As an example, let's say I had the left hand of a character rigged to perfection, and I just wanted to duplicate it, flip it horizontally, and put it on the other arm as well. How does one do that?
