project: the beautiful broken

Post by smileypete »

hello all,

this is where i plan to update progress on, and share the development of my 90+ minute feature film: initially named - the beautiful broken - but bound to change name by the time i'm finished.

its 2am in the morning and i've finished my initial mapping of the story... it's brilliant of course... a tale of learning to live life no matter what crosses our path. It contains elements of abuse, escape, in-escape, love, life, loss and sacrifice... and employs the underlying nature of buddhism...

story-boarding is next + dialog

lets see if we can't make a compelling movie

Are you going to set-up a website for this project? If you're looking for people to help you out, a website featuring art and story information might be good way to get people interested.

Good luck!

hey tony, a website sounds good, but i think it may be too early for that, people will probably get sick of the characters before the movie is finished...

when i have a lot more animation done i may throw together a short trailer, but thats a way off yet...

for now i'll just post bits and pieces and hear people's opinions on my work.

tonight i'll try to put up the first scene for all to have a look, that's probably about 10 hours from now. Then i'll have the weekend to work on the next part.

and yeah, i hear you ron, but i havn't seen anyone push anime studio further than 2 to 10 minute skits... correct me if i'm wrong. so i'm going for something more substantial.

cheers for the replies

well the thing is, you cant just jump right into a full length movie, brother...

you have to get a feel of your artwork and a workflow with the software, so many variables... thats just how it works...

i mean im not trying to downplay you, just being realistic.

This scene should be shorter, it's too much time to watch rain, and gunshots sound funny :D

Rain and Lightning was awesome( especialy I liked rain on roof)
