Well, I strongly disagree with this (and I think Vern would as well) but perhaps you don't use bones to deform shapes the way I do.slowtiger wrote: there's no rule about the ideal number of points on a shape. As long as it's enough it doesn't hurt to have some more.
With bones (and deforming arm or leg shapes, for example) it DOES hurt to have more. It hurts a lot <bg>.
And, of course, trying to do any kind of morphing you definitely only want the number of points you need. More just means a tremendous amount of work.
