HeyVern, you know we all have great respect for you, but come on give this kid a break.
Did NOT intend to squelch a "child's" creativity. Not my goal. But what does "giving him a break" really mean? If this is the worst feed back he gets from that kind of... "resume" he will be very lucky. I seriously doubt this is a "child" looking for paid writing jobs. It could be... anyone.
Even if this is a child I don't believe in letting them do whatever they want where ever they want when ever they want just because... to say no might... discourage them. I've seen very intelligent, children write thoughtful posts on forums asking for guidance.
My biggest fear was 50 posts a week popping up with scripts and more begging for work and then trying to figure out what to do about it.
<sigh> I'm jaded from all the phonies posting spam all the time. They often fake a certain naivety to fool us.

Also
Vern, I have just started this forum hoping to find helpful nice people that can help me.
I'm afraid your not helping, if you cant be helpful and having something nice to say. Then dont say anything at all. Lay off the insults, i understand and respect that you are just correcting me and trying to help. But i would appreciate less of your attitude towards everything i do.
Either be nice and help me, or leave me alone.
Thank you.

And im not trying to fool anyone
I am Luke Dodds, and if you must know im 14 and in my second year for high school. But my age should not matter, if i am good at what i do.
I am just someone that loves to write, design and plan that would like to earn some extra cash, Vern.

Don't worry Luke ol' boy , Vern don't mean nuthin' by it.
He has the odious task of moderator and I don't blame him for the odd outburst, hell, if I was in charge of spam removal I would probably be put in a zoo after a couple of weeks.
If you had posted a question more relevant to the forum, he would have been very different.
Anyway check out that Celtx link I posted, it really is a good place for writers to smash heads together.
After all, the pen is mightier than the mouse.....ummm mouse errrr..sumfin like dat .

Sorry to have hurt your feelings. Accept my apology but also accept my advice if you can.
The writing business you want to get into is vicious and cut throat. Any rejection or hurt feelings you get from me, one single person is nothing compared to what you face in "the real world".
Maybe I was a bit hard on you but I know from experience learning can be hard. When in art school one of the students acted as you did, over confident and defensive... the teacher took her work, tore it up, threw it on the floor and stomped on it till she cried.
That's the real world dude. Once again. Sorry if I hurt your feelings... it should make you want to work harder, to prove me wrong. Try to take some of our comments with a grain of salt. Many of us have a lot of experience you can learn from but don't assume you know more than us.
Do one favor for me and try not to "spam" the forum with so many posts. Think carefully about what you want to say and put it in one post. As a writer you should think about what you need to say, organize your thoughts.
If you want to share your story ideas put them in ONE thread in the "share your work" forum category. Title it "Luke's Scripts" or something like that. If anyone needs a story or wants to buy one they can find them in one place.
A good teacher won't coddle you or tell you you are good when you aren't.

to follow up from my brash post in the other thread:
i think knowing your age puts things in perspective.
Far be it from me to discourage the yoot of today from doing something creative and constructive... I think the main reason for a knee-jerk reaction is your apparent premature desire to make a living.
When someone requests to be paid for something people will not react positively if the sample of their work doesn't seem to warrant it. for all we knew you might be a 36 year old with a few undeveloped ideas hoping to make a quick buck from the suckers who don't realise your spelling and grammar are off. For a 14 year old maybe we can be more forgiving, but at your age, with your experience (or lack thereof) people would react a lot better to 'what do you think of this'/'how can i improve' posts than 'who wants to pay me'.
Welcome to the real world, where people don't give you what you want, and don't really care whether you succeed or fail - but are sometimes willing to give you a nudge in the right direction, and are willing to listen if what you show them opens their eyes (or should that be ears?)
Don't be discouraged - this is possibly the first in a long string of knock backs - we all get them... your choice is to take it on the chin and improve, or fight your corner and be ridiculed.

I wish I hadn't posted those Whitney Huston lyrics, I've been feelin' a bit 'pukey' ever since.... I won't do it again.

I loved those lyrics! I cried watching "The Bodyguard".
Those lyrics made my cold heart melt and now I love the world!
Not buying it huh? I tried. I didn't cry during The Bodyguard but I did cry during that heartbreaking scene in Terminator when Reese revealed his true feelings to Sarah... then I laughed a little when it turns out he was still a virgin... give me a break I was 19 when that movie hit the theaters.

Do you have scripts for these stories? Understand that this is animation land. As such, you should probably be offering material suitable for animation (which is not the same as a short story-or a live action script)
Is the new one going to be a "5 kids" story?
I suggest you write about something you have some real experience with. or keep it totally fantastic (which still benefits from real-life experience)
Why do you think you're a good writer?
Is it safe to assume that you have an interest in the 'Anime' genre, more specifically of the violent variety (as compared to the 'Hello Kitty' sort)-which is how you ended up here? (looking for all things Anime?)
Go here for a list of typical animation jobs:
http://www.animationguild.org/ You'll have to root around a bit, but they're there, and you may learn something more in the process.

...
are you interested?, I mean, this are your scripts, you are who wants to got money. things are not so easy. nobody will pay to an unknown 14 years old guy which never has wrote a script before. I think that here in the forum people are more interested in work on his own stories or in earn money animating someone else's, but make an animation of a story you haven't wrote and even pay for it is crazy.
If what you want is to have your own story animated, then start learning how to animate or at least make a very good script, so good that maybe someone read it and say, god, I must animate this story.
if you want somebody give you an animation of your own story, and even more, that this guy pay you for do it, I think you are on the wrong way.
here, people is giving advices to you, but seems to be you are not reading.
