You can now download and install the strings files yourselves. First select the strings file to match the version of the app that you have (Debut or Pro).

http://my.smithmicro.com/downloads/file ... trings.zip
http://my.smithmicro.com/downloads/file ... trings.zip

Un-zip the archive, and you'll get a strings file named:
Anime Studio Pro.strings

Copy this to the applications Resources folder. On Windows this is in the program folder, right next to the app. On Mac, it's inside the application package - right-click the application and select "Show Package Contents". Then navigate to Contents/Resources.

Once the strings file is in place, you can edit it to your heart's content.
This isn't working for me. AS Pro 6.1 on WinXP

No success Having edited the file:
C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Anime Studio Pro 6\Resources\Anime Studio Pro.strings

I'm also seeing files encoding for different languages in a Strings subdirectory here:
C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Anime Studio Pro 6\Resources\Strings

Do we have instructions for assigning custom keystrokes with version 6.1?

Things changed a little bit in version 6.1 because we now support multiple, simultaneously-installed languages. You found the correct location - they're in the (app)/Resources/Strings folder. Just choose the language that matches yours (EN = English, FR = French, DE = German) and modify it as needed.

Mike, I have tw little questions
- Is there a way to change the size of menu texts?
- Can we create our own Cntrl+Shift shortcuts?

Thank you.

Do you mean the font size? No, unless you make all fonts bigger in the Preferences dialog.

Sorry, no. It was when version 6 was almost finished that I realized the need to add modifier keys in some cases, and I didn't have time to make it a general mechanism. These are special cases that you can't really change.

Well, thanks anyway. But don't say sorry, it's far to be something of life or death.

PD: hey, I just today noticed you fixed the problem when editing a color I wrote here viewtopic.php?p=77728, Thank you for that! it's so much comfortable that I even didn't noticed it was fixed :)
